Brendan Fahey
Brendan is a company director and business investor based on his family property just outside Windsor, approximately one hour from the centre of Sydney.
Brendan has performed as a successful, elite sportsperson for most of his life, excelling in Rugby Union School 1st XV football, athletics, cricket and swimming. Having commenced playing polo with the Ashtons and then the Windsor Polo Club, Brendan went on to work for many years on the WPC committee holding the position of Club Captain. Brendan’s passion for horses and the sport of polo has grown and developed to the point that it has become a major focus for himself, his wife Lisa and his young family.
Having become an accomplished player, Brendan developed a keen interest in schooling and training young horses and most of his current playing string were made by himself. Brendan has a thriving polo facility, ‘Loughrea’, located adjacent to the Windsor and Muddy Flats polo fields, as well as a small ‘home field’ and turn-out facilities at his residence, which is situated on the beautiful Hawkesbury River.
With experience of playing throughout New South Wales, Queensland, New Zealand and India, Brendan believes strongly that the sport of polo is a unique platform upon which to form relationships. It is this opportunity for networking and the formation of a community of ‘polo passionate’ individuals and families that has spurred Brendan’s interest in re-forming the Town and Country Polo Club.
